Ok due to overwhelming demand here is the
recipe for those bready-sugary things I
made during Cheesefest 4
The Recipe
- 4 rolls of refrigerator biscuits
- 1/2 c butter, melted
- 2 cup granulated sugar
- 1 cup UNPACKED brown sugar (cuz i don't know what that works out to when it's packed)
- 1-2 tablespoons ground cinnamon
I typically guesstimate on some of these
quantities, so this should get you started..
feel free to adjust them.
- get a bundt pan. drizzle enough butter in
there just to coat the bottom of the pan
- cut all of the refrigerator biscuits
(uncooked for god's sake) into quarters.
- mix the sugars and cinnamon in a bowl.
if it's a wide bowl then it will make the
next step easier
- roll the biscuit bits in the sugar mixture
a couple at a time. Once each bit is well-coated,
drop it into the bundt pan.
- once the biscuit bits are about 1/3 of the way
done, drizzle a little butter over the tops of 'em,
just enough to moisten them slightly. If too much
butter is added, you'll end up with goopy biscuit
squishy stuff at the bottom of your pan which, while
sounding tasty, is in fact not. do this again when
they're about 2/3 done
- ok, once all the biscuit bits are in the pan,
throw the rest of the sugar mixture in with whatever
is left of the butter and kinda drizzle it over the
top of the whole mess.
- Put the pan into the oven to bake at 350 degrees
(farenheit plz) for.. hrm.. mebbe 30 minutes. The
best time to take it out is when the top is just
about to burn cuz that means that all the biscuit
goodness down in the bottom of the pan will be
cooked all the way through.
- Get a plate that's bigger than the bundt pan,
and invert the pan over it. with luck the whole
thing should pop right on out of it in one nice,
shapely chunk.
