Grandma Linah's Peach Cobbler
contributed by Hannah
This simple recipe will add several inches to your waist!
My grandmother wrote this down for me during a visit in May 1999,
the day after she made some for my folks and several aunts and uncles.
The Recipe
- 1 large can of sliced peaches (heavy syrup)
- 1 stick of butter
- 1 cup of flour
- 1 cup of sugar
- 1 cup of milk, OR 1/2 cup of cream and 1/2 cup of milk
Melt the butter in a pan.
Mix sugar, flour, and milk/cream into a batter and pour it into the pan.
Add peaches.
Bake at 350F degrees until brown.
This same basic recipe can be used with strawberries, apples, or rhubarb.
